Baking raisin sponge cake with the rice cooker

You love making baked goods but don't have an oven to bake? One is raisin sponge cake, which is quite popular and is loved by many people. Few people know that this type of cake is quite easy to make with just the rice cooker.

Ingredients:

  • Wheat flour: 150g
  • Baking powder: 2 teaspoons
  • Egg: 4 eggs
  • Fresh milk: 40ml
  • Soft butter: 150g
  • Sugar: 130g
  • Vani: 1/2 teaspoons
  • Lemon: 1/2
  • Rum: 25ml
  • Raisins: 25g (You can choose to buy here)
  • Some salt and indispensable in the preparation: The rice cooker

Let's get started!

Step 1: Raisins wash with warm water to reduce the sugar outer layer. Put raisins in the rum to soften.

Step 2: Separate 4 eggs into separate yolks and whites. To separate the yolk and the egg whites is very simple. Use a knife or flick the egg in half. Then pour back and forth two halves of the egg, the yolk and white will be easily separated.

Step 3: Mix flour, baking powder and some salt together and turn to sieve.

Step 4: Use a whisk to beat the egg whites. Beat the eggs evenly, when large bubbles appear, add some lemon juice and continue to beat. When the air bubbles have become smaller, add a little sugar to beat.

Step 5: Pour fresh milk and cooking oil into the egg yolk and mix well. Then mix the flour and cornstarch together. Sift the flour to make a smooth, lump-free dough when mixing in the yolk. Mix this mixture well until they blend well.

 

Step 6: Gradually pour the egg white mixture at first into the finely mixed yolk. Stir hands so that they blend well together.

Step 7: Take out the raisins and put in the mixture to mix well. Let the mixture rest for about an hour and a half before baking.

Step 8: Take the rice cooker and spread it with butter or oil to prevent sticking, lined the paper on the bottom of the rice cooker to prevent the cake from burning when baking due to high temperatures.

Step 9: Plug in the rice cooker, turn on the cook button, and cook until the rice cooker goes to incubation mode. Allow 5 - 10 minutes to take the cake out.
